In compliance with Governor Pritzker’s mandate, any individual appearing in person must wear a face-covering to cover their nose and mouth. Citizens who are unable to attend the meeting can email comments in advance of the meeting to publiccomment@joliet.gov. ROLL CALL ALSO PRESENT: Director of Finance James Ghedotte, Director of Economic Development Derek Conley, HR Generalist Krystal Walsh and President of Heritage Corridor Convention & Visitor's Bureau Bob Navarro Present Pat Mudron, Sherri Reardon and Cesar Guerrero APPROVAL OF MINUTES A motion was made by Sherri Reardon, seconded by Cesar Guerrero, to approve the minutes of the October 19th Finance Committee Meeting. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Mudron, Reardon and Guerrero TMP-2795 Attachments: October 2021 Draft Minutes CITIZENS TO BE HEARD ON AGENDA ITEMS None. RESOLUTION APPROVING AGREEMENT WITH HERITAGE CORRIDOR CONVENTION AND VISITOR'S BUREAU FOR THE ADMINISTRATION OF CITY RELATED MARKETING AND TOURISM PROMOTIONS The Director of Economic Development Derek Conley introduced the President of Heritage Corridor Convention & Visitor's Bureau Bob Navarro and then presented the Resolution Approving Agreement with Heritage Corridor Convention and Visitor's Bureau for the Administration of City Related Marketing and Tourism Promotions. Mr. Navarro addressed the Committee and offered to answer any questions. Discussion held. A motion was made by Cesar Guerrero, seconded by Sherri Reardon, to recommend for approval to full Council the Resolution Approving Agreement with Heritage Corridor Convention and Visitor's Bureau for the Administration of City Related Marketing and Tourism Promotions. Later, Councilman Guerrero asked a question regarding the Report, which was answered by Mr. Ghedotte. Discussion held. TMP-2790 Attachments: 2021-10 Monthly Financial Report PERSONNEL SUMMARY HR Generalist Krystal Walsh briefly reviewed the Personnel Summary. Brief discussion held. TMP-2791 Attachments: November2021_Personnel_Summary TRAVEL EXPENSE REPORT Mr. Ghedotte briefly reviewed the Travel Report. TMP-2792 Attachments: Travel 10-2021 INVOICES PAID REPORT Mr. Ghedotte commented on the Invoices Paid Report. Brief discussion held. TMP-2793 Attachments: 2021-10 Invoices Paid NEW OR OLD BUSINESS, NOT FOR FINAL ACTION OR RECOMMENDATION Mr. Ghedotte mentioned bringing a Request to Submit a Grant for the Chicago Street Plaza to full Council on December 6th and 7th due to time constraints. Brief discussion held. PUBLIC COMMENT None. CLOSED SESSION - If required; to discuss personnel, collective bargaining, land acquisition or conveyance and pending or threatened litigation after which the meeting will be adjourned.
