The homeowner reached out to Ms. Bernhard. and Ms. Johnson went out to take pictures and research. Ms. Johnson stated that the house has all of the original features with the exception of windows. Previous address was 200 Manor Court. The front of the house faced Manor Court when it went through. Thinks the house has sufficient integrity to be included in the Catalog Home thematic district. The Commission discussed the issues with including this house in a Catalog Thematic District due to the fact that it has vinyl windows. Commissioner Adamowski requested that Ms. Bernhard reach out to colleagues in other communities to see how they deal with this issue. Mr. Mikottis offered that the Commission could explore a “grading system” for houses. Ms. Lowry commented that the Commission should focus on whether the alteration changes the look and feel of the house : the windows changes the integrity for sure, but probably not the look and feel. The Commission did a voice vote to determine that they would continue to move forward with this house and make the integrity / application of standards question part of a larger discussion going forward.
