ROLL CALL Present Councilman Cesar Cardenas and Councilman Pat Mudron Absent Councilman Cesar Guerrero ALSO PRESENT: Community Development Director Dustin Anderson, Economic Development Director Paulina Mart ínez, Planner Jayne Bernhard, Planner Raymond Heitner, Economic Development Specialist Emily McGuire, Economic Development Specialist Kasie Nette, and Legal Assistant Katherine Fyksen APPROVAL OF MINUTES Land Use & Economic Development Committee Meeting TMP-8162 Minutes 12-18-24 Attachments: Land Use & Economic Development Committee Meeting Minutes 12-18-24.pdf A motion was made by Councilman Pat Mudron, seconded by Councilman Cesar Cardenas, to approve Land Use & Economic Development Committee Meeting Minutes 12-18-24. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Councilman Cardenas and Councilman Mudron Absent: Councilman Guerrero CITIZENS TO BE HEARD ON AGENDA ITEMS None AGENDA ITEMS Business Continuity Grant Application Approval TMP-8159 Attachments: Business Continuity Grant Application Approval Memo Economic Development Director Paulina Martínez provided an overview of the grant application received from Internode Greenery & Home and discussed grants approved for other downtown businesses. Ms. Martínez confirmed Councilman Mudron’s statement about taxes from the previous year. Councilman Cardenas highlighted support for downtown businesses. Ms. Martínez explained to the Committee that no vote was required for the agenda item. Lease Extension for Southeast Corner of Interstate 55 and TMP-8153 Caton Farm Road Page 1 of 2 Land Use & Economic Development Committee Meeting Minutes - Pending Approval January 22, 2025 Attachments: Council Memo_Land Lease Agreement_I-55 & Caton Farm Road_2025 Land Lease Agreement (SE Corner of I-55 Caton Farm Road) 2025-2028_clean_01.15.2025 Ms. Martínez read the staff report into the record. Councilman Mudron spoke about the lease extension. A motion was made by Councilman Pat Mudron, seconded by Councilman Cesar Cardenas, to approve Lease Extension for Southeast Corner of Interstate 55 and Caton Farm Road.
