In an effort to support these mitigation measures, the City of Joliet is limiting in person attendance in the council chambers to 10 people. During meetings, groups of 10 people will be staged in various locations within city hall. These groups will wait in areas with a live feed to the meeting until the Citizens to Be Heard on Agenda items section, the Public Hearing has commenced or the Public Comments section of the meeting has commenced. Speakers will be rotated into Council Chambers to allow everyone an opportunity to speak. Pursuant to the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity’s Guidelines, it is recommended that any individual appearing in-person wear a face-covering to cover their nose and mouth. Citizens who are unable to attend the meeting can email comments in advance of the meeting to publiccomment@joliet.gov OR register “To Be Called To Speak”. FRONTAGE ROAD FROM B-3 (GENERAL BUSINESS) AND I-1 (LIGHT INDUSTRIAL) TO R-4 (LOW-DENSITY, MULTI-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) ZONING. FRONTAGE ROAD. Mr. Torri gave the Planning Staff Report. Mr. Chris Papesh, Geotech, appeared on behalf of the petition. Mr. Nicolae Corobca, appeared before the Commission by phone call regarding some questions about the petition. Mr. Papesh responded. Commissioner Fiday, Cox and Moore had a few questions that Mr. Papesh responded to. A motion was made by Jason Cox, seconded by Jeff Crompton, to recommend for approval by the City Council the Preliminary Planned Unit Development for Timber Oaks, Unit 3, the Reclassification of 6 Acres at the Southeast Corner of Timber Ridge Court and S.E. Frontage Road from B-3 (General Business) and I-1 (Light Industrial) to R-4 (Low-Density, Multi-Family Residential) Zoning and the Vacation of a 10' Sanitary Sewer Easement, a 10' Stormwater Detention Easement and 15' Drainage and Utility Easement located at the Southeast Corner of Timber Ridge Court and S.E. Frontage Road. Chairman Dillon swore in Ms. Rita Zorba who appeared before the Commission on the phone. Ms. Zorba stated her concerns and opposition to the petition. Chairman Dillon swore in Mr. John Sheridan, who appeared before the Commission on the phone. Mr. Sheridan stated his concerns and opposition to the petition. Mr. Hansen responded to the some of the comments. Commissioner Moore inquired about the zoning for the property and Mr. Hansen responded. A motion was made by Jason Cox, seconded by Jeff Crompton, to recommend for approval by the City Council the Reclassification of .45 Acres Located at 1127-1131 N. Broadway Street from R-2 (Single-Family Residential) Zoning to B-3 (General Business) Zoning. A motion was made by Jason Cox, seconded by Brigette Fiday, to recommend for approval by the City Council the Preliminary Plat of Resubdivision of Rock Run Crossings Subdivision, the Development Agreement for Rock Run Crossings Subdivision, and the Reclassification of 58.619 Acres located at the Northeast Corner of I-55 and I-80 from B-2 (Central Business) to I-1 (Light Industrial) Zoning.
