As of June 11, 2021, Governor Pritzker moved Illinois to Phase 5. Under Phase 5, all sectors of the economy can resume at
regular capacity with new safety guidelines and procedures.
Pursuant to the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity’s Guidelines, it is recommended that any
individual appearing in-person who is not fully vaccinated wear a face-covering to cover their nose and mouth.
Citizens who are unable to attend the meeting can email comments in advance of the meeting to publiccomment@joliet.gov.

Arts Commission Update - Erick Deshaun Dorris
Mr. Erick Deshaun Dorris gave a brief update on the Arts Commission's goals, discussed a
unique opportunity through the American Rescue Plan Act to invest in our public arts program
and how the arts could contribute to public safety through creative placemaking.

the sale or lease of property owned by the City (5ILCS 5/120/2(c)(5,6)).
PENDING or THREATENED LITIGATION: A pending legal action against, affecting or on
behalf of the City or a similar legal action that is probable or imminent (5 ILCS 5/120/2(c)(11)).
DISCUSSION OF MINUTES OF CLOSED SESSION MEETINGS: Whether for purposes of
approval by the body of the minutes or semi-annual review of the minutes as mandated by
Section 2.06 (5 ILCS 5/120/2(c)(21)).
