PRESENTATION: National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Presentation - Presented by Dan Bounds, PE, D.WRE, Baxter & Woodman Consulting Engineers Attachments: Approver Report Director Public Works Greg Ruddy introduced Dan Bounds with Baxter & Woodman Consulting Engineers. Mr. Bounds gave a overview of the City's National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System. A brief discussion was held regarding roadway salt polluting waters and the affects on testing with the removal of a dam in Shorewood. Non-Revenue Water Reduction Program Update – Presented by Allison Swisher, Director of Public Utilities Attachments: Approver Report Director of Public Utilities Allison Swisher discussed the background of the City's non-revenue water reduction program. Will Jernigan with Cavanagh briefly defined non-revenue water components. He reviewed history of the City's leak detention project and replacement of water meters and water mains to reduce non-revenue water loss. A brief discussion was held regarding the audit breakdown of non-revenue components, process of identifying new leaks within areas/zones of the City, and Cavanagh's background and success in water loss management.
