The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Councilman Cardenas and Councilwoman Reardon Absent: Councilwoman Ibarra CITIZENS TO BE HEARD ON AGENDA ITEMS None AGENDA ITEMS Ordinance Amending the 2024 City of Joliet Annual Budget ID-1772-20 for the Demolition and Stabilization of the Victory Centre Gymnasium Attachments: Budget Amending Ordinance Victory Centre 2024.docx Victory Centre - Low Bid Breakdown - 06-26-24.pdf Facilities Management Director Blaine Kline gave a brief overview of the solicited bids for the five construction packages of the Victory Centre Gymnasium project and explained the budget amendment. In response to Councilman Cardenas questions, Mr. Kline explained City Council approved the Professional Services Contract for the Demolition and Stabilization of the Victory Centre Gymnasium in the amount of $1,195,590.00 and discussed the project timeline. In response to Councilwoman Reardon’s question, Mr. Kline explained the Lindblad Construction amount of $65,000.00 was for exterior concrete work. Berti & Sons Contractors, Inc. briefly discussed the original budget estimate amount, current budget estimate amount, and the funds for the budget amendment. A motion was made by Councilman Cesar Cardenas, seconded by Councilwoman Sherri Reardon, to approve Ordinance Amending the 2024 City of Joliet Annual Budget for the Demolition and Stabilization of the Victory Centre Gymnasium.
