ROLL CALL This matter was Present Councilwoman Jan Hallums Quillman, Councilman Larry E. Hug and Councilman Joe Clement ALSO PRESENT: Police Chief William Evans, Deputy Chief Carlos Matlock, Fire Chief Jeff Carey, and Fleet Services Director Jeff Price APPROVAL OF MINUTES TMP-5339 Attachments: Minutes 02-07-2023 A motion was made by Councilman Clement, seconded by Councilman Hug, to approve the Minutes of the March 7, 2023, Public Safety Committee Meeting. The motion carried by the following vote: CITIZENS TO BE HEARD ON AGENDA ITEMS This section is for anyone wanting to speak regarding agenda items and are allowed a maximum of 4 minutes. It is not a question and answer period and staff, and the Committee members do not generally respond to public comments. The City Clerk has a copy of the public speaking procedures; please note, speakers who engage in conduct injurious to the harmony of the meeting shall be called to order by the Presiding Officer and may forfeit the opportunity to speak. None. PURCHASES Councilmen Clement inquired about the Special Investigations and Graffiti Vehicles. Mr. Price replied. Fire Chief Carey will attend the National Crisis Foundation World Conference in Baltimore on May 3, 2023 to present the Joliet City Mental Health Program. ORDINANCES None. RESOLUTIONS Resolution Authorizing the Renewal of the Will County TMP-5341 Cooperative Police Assistance Team Interagency Agreement (WCCPAT) Attachments: WCCPAT Agreement Resolution A motion was made by Councilman Joe Clement, seconded by Councilman Page 1 of 2 Public Safety Committee Meeting Minutes - Final March 7, 2023 Larry E. Hug, to approve COUNCIL MEMO #TMP-5341: Resolution Authorizing the Renewal of the Will County Cooperative Police Assistance Team Interagency Agreement (WCCPAT). The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Councilwoman Hallums Quillman, Councilman Hug and Councilman Clement Councilmen Hug Congratulated the Police Dept for being #8 in the Country.
