Zach Johnston, and Axon Account Manager Julie Bosack APPROVAL OF MINUTES TMP-6363 Attachments: Minutes 09-05-2023 A motion was made by Councilwoman Sherri Reardon, seconded by Councilman Joe Clement, to approve COUNCIL MEMO #TMP-6363: Minutes 9/5/2023. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Councilwoman Hallums Quillman, Councilman Clement and Councilwoman Reardon CITIZENS TO BE HEARD ON AGENDA ITEMS This section is for anyone wanting to speak regarding agenda items and are allowed a maximum of 4 minutes. It is not a question and answer period and staff, and the Committee members do not generally respond to public comments. None. PURCHASES TMP-6563 Attachments: Axon Quote Axon Purchase Agreement DC Botzum introduces Julie Bosack from Axon for a presentation on the 10 year contract. Councilwoman Quillman and Councilwoman Reardon ask questions about contract. Julie Bosack and DC Botzum answer questions regarding contract. Councilwoman Quillman and Councilman Clement ask for the presentation by email. Councilwoman Quillman asks that Julie Bosack speak to the Council regarding the contract. Page 1 of 3 Public Safety Committee Meeting Minutes - Final November 7, 2023 A motion was made by Councilwoman Sherri Reardon, seconded by Councilman Joe Clement, to recommend for approval COUNCIL MEMO #TMP-6563: Award of Contract for Axon Enterprise Services. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Councilwoman Hallums Quillman, Councilman Clement and Councilwoman Reardon ORDINANCES Ordinance Authorizing the Execution of an Intergovernmental ID-1429-20 Agreement for the Tri-County Auto Theft Task Force. Attachments: Ordinance-Tri County Auto Task Force 2023 MOU - Tri County Auto Task Force Chief Evans briefly explains Ordinance. Councilwoman Reardon comments on ordinance how she recommends a change to MOU. Chief Evans explains how we are short Supervisors and Officers on all shifts on a daily basis. Councilman Clement asks question regarding Task Force and staffing. Sgt. Zach Johnston speaks regarding Task Force. Council discusses staffing issues with Chief Evans. A motion was made by Councilman Joe Clement, seconded by Councilwoman Sherri Reardon, to recommend for approval COUNCIL MEMO #ID-1429-20: Ordinance Authorizing the Execution of an Intergovernmental Agreement for the Tri-County Auto Theft Task Force. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Councilwoman Hallums Quillman, Councilman Clement and Councilwoman Reardon RESOLUTIONS None. NEW OR OLD BUSINESS, NOT FOR FINAL ACTION OR RECOMMENDATION Discussion with Fire Chief Jeffrey Carey about budgeted funds. Chief Carey discusses budgeted funds, there is a brief discussion. Councilwoman Reardon says "Thank you for what you do."
