The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Councilwoman Hallums Quillman, Councilman Clement and Councilwoman Reardon Purchase of Knox Boxes for City of Joliet Businesses from Knox TMP-6712 Company in the amount of $46,831.00 Chief Carey briefly explains Purchase. A motion was made by Councilman Joe Clement, seconded by Councilwoman Sherri Reardon, to recommend for approval COUNCIL MEMO #TMP-6712: Purchase of Knox Boxes for City of Joliet Businesses from Knox Company in the amount of $46,831.00. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Councilwoman Hallums Quillman, Councilman Clement and Councilwoman Reardon Sole Source Purchase of Drive Test Scanner System Upgrade TMP-6748 5G FR1 Scanner and Associated Hardware for the Joliet Police Department Investigations Division Attachments: 2023 Drive Test Scanner Upgrade Quote DC Matlock briefly explains Purchase. A motion was made by Councilwoman Sherri Reardon, seconded by Councilman Joe Clement, to recommend for approval COUNCIL MEMO #TMP-6748: Sole Source Purchase of Drive Test Scanner System Upgrade 5G FR1 Scanner and Associated Hardware for the Joliet Police Department Investigations Division. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Councilwoman Hallums Quillman, Councilman Clement and Councilwoman Reardon ORDINANCES Ordinance Amending the 2023 Budget for the Two New Fire TMP-6707 Engine Purchases Attachments: Budget Amending Ordinance 2 New Fire Engine Purchases (003) Jeff Price briefly explains Ordinance Amending the 2023 Budget for the Two New Fire Engine Purchases Councilwoman Quillman, and Councilwoman Reardon ask questions about price difference. Jeff Price explains difference. Councilman Clement questions why if original contract was signed would there would be any price increases. Jeff Price explains price difference from original contract is because of changes they made not because they increased original contract. A motion was made by Councilman Joe Clement, seconded by Councilwoman Sherri Reardon, to recommend for approval COUNCIL MEMO #TMP-6707: Ordinance Amending the 2023 Budget for the Two New Fire Engine Purchases. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Councilwoman Hallums Quillman, Councilman Clement and Councilwoman Reardon RESOLUTIONS NEW OR OLD BUSINESS, NOT FOR FINAL ACTION OR RECOMMENDATION Councilman Clement asks Chief Carey to talk about lives saved with AED's. Chief Carey tells Page 3 of 4 Public Safety Committee Meeting Minutes - Final December 5, 2023 2 stories of how citizens grab AED's and helped save lives before the ambulance got there . Council comments on AED's. Chief Carey talks about training and getting more AED's all over the city to save more lives.
