The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Councilman Clement, Councilwoman Hallums Quillman and Councilwoman Ibarra CITIZENS TO BE HEARD ON AGENDA ITEMS None AGENDA ITEMS Purchase of 2 Trailers for Haz-Mat use for the Joliet Fire TMP-7926 Department from Morris Trailer for $64,904.00 Jeff Price briefly explains. Councilman Clement asks exactly what this will be used for. Jeff Price gives examples. Councilman Clement and Councilwoman Quillman ask questions. Chief Carey and Jeff Price answer. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Councilman Clement, Councilwoman Hallums Quillman and Councilwoman Ibarra Purchase of 2 Complete Horton Ambulances from Foster Coach TMP-7928 Page 1 of 4 Public Safety Committee Meeting Minutes - Final December 3, 2024 in the amount of $764,878.00 Jeff Price explains both Ambulance Memos. A motion was made by Councilwoman Jan Hallums Quillman, seconded by Councilwoman Suzanna Ibarra, to recommend for approval COUNCIL MEMO #TMP-7928: Purchase of 2 Complete Horton Ambulances from Foster Coach in the amount of $764,878.00. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Councilman Clement, Councilwoman Hallums Quillman and Councilwoman Ibarra Purchase of 4 Complete Horton Ambulances from Foster Coach TMP-7929 in the amount of $1,529,756.00 A motion was made by Councilwoman Suzanna Ibarra, seconded by Councilwoman Jan Hallums Quillman, to recommend for approval COUNCIL MEMO #TMP-7929: Purchase of 4 Complete Horton Ambulances from Foster Coach in the amount of $1,529,756.00. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Councilman Clement, Councilwoman Hallums Quillman and Councilwoman Ibarra Request for Authorization to Upgrade the Joliet Police TMP-7953 Department Community Room with a New Integrated Audio-Visual System Purchase in the amount of $59,042.37. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Councilman Clement, Councilwoman Hallums Quillman and Councilwoman Ibarra Award of Contract for Axon AI Bundle TMP-7962 Attachments: Axon Draft One Quote Axon Contract Deputy Chief Botzum introduces Axon Rep Julie Bosack and gives Presentation. Council asks lots of questions. DC Botzum answers. Council, DC Botzum, Julie Bosack discuss details of bundle. Councilwoman Quillman and Councilman Clement want Council to see the Presentation. A motion was made by Councilwoman Suzanna Ibarra, seconded by Councilwoman Jan Hallums Quillman, to recommend for approval COUNCIL MEMO #TMP-7962: Award of Contract for Axon AI Bundle. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Councilman Clement, Councilwoman Hallums Quillman and Councilwoman Ibarra ORDINANCES Ordinance Amending the 2024 Annual Budget for the City of TMP-7917 Joliet and the Purchase of Automatic External Defibrillators (AED), Life Rings with Cabinets and Alarms, and Office Space Reconfigurations at Fire Stations 1 and 6.
