As of June 11, 2021, Governor Pritzker moved Illinois to Phase 5. Under Phase 5, all sectors of the economy can resume at
regular capacity with new safety guidelines and procedures.
Pursuant to the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity’s Guidelines, it is recommended that any
individual appearing in-person who is not fully vaccinated wear a face-covering to cover their nose and mouth.
Citizens who are unable to attend the meeting can email comments in advance of the meeting to publiccomment@joliet.gov.

UPDATE ON SLAMMERS SEASON AND DISCUSSION ON FUTURE PLANS
Councilman Mudron introduced the Slammers Management team: Nick Semaca, Heather
Mills, and John Wilson.
John Wilson, Vice-President of the Slammers, stated the Slammers are now a MLB partner.
He stated numerous members of the Slammers have moved up to affiliated baseball. Mr.
Wilson highlighted new sponsors, and reviewed the increase in stadium usage.
A brief discussion was held regarding the MLB partner league and its advantages.
In response to Councilman Mudron's question, Nick Semaca stated the estimated attendance
has been 70% of normalcy.
Heather Mills, General Manager, discussed soccer tournaments and informed the Committee
no concerts are planned as of now.

CLOSED SESSION
A motion was made by Cesar Guerrero, seconded by Pat Mudron, to enter into closed
session to discuss the setting of a price for sale or lease of property owned by the public
body.
The motion carried by the following vote:
