The motion carried by the following vote: Absent: Satcher Tree Advisory Minutes - February 1, 2024 TMP-7164 Attachments: 020124 Tree Advisory Minutes.pdf CITIZENS TO BE HEARD ON AGENDA ITEMS No one wishes to speak at this time. ARBORIST REPORT Matter not addressed. 1. ARBOR DAY PLANS Rita Renwick said that the posters are being voted on today and once the winners are chosen, a letter goes out to the families and invites the students to attend the City Council Meeting on April 16th. Arbor Day Events were discussed and will take place on April 26 at 10 am. 2. INFLATION REDUCTION ACT GRANT The grant was turned in on time in the amount of $600,000.00 and the committee has not heard back if it was granted or not. 3. CN / AIB GRANT The Judge's for the CN / AIB Grant will be coming to town on 7-14-24. They will be going around the City touring on the 15th and 16th of July. Rita said a Community Profile will need to be put together. 4. SPRING TREE PLANTING Brian Neumann from The Fields spoke regarding the tree growing contract. He said they do 1,000 trees a year with 650 in the spring and the remaining in the fall for this year. NEW OR OLD BUSINESS, NOT FOR FINAL ACTION OR RECOMMENDATION None at this time.
