Under Phase 5, all sectors of the economy can resume at regular capacity with new safety guidelines and procedures . Pursuant to the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity’s Guidelines, it is recommended that any individual appearing in-person who is not fully vaccinated wear a face-covering to cover their nose and mouth. Citizens who are unable to attend the meeting can email comments in advance of the meeting to publiccomment@joliet.gov. Chairman Hennessy swore in Sam Sanders, 2106 Sudbury Drive, Joliet, IL. Mr. Sanders appeared in support of this petition. Mr. Sanders explained that he wants to add the garage addition to store a classic car. Mr. Nachtrieb asked if the neighbor is aware of the proposed addition. Mr. Sanders said yes, he has spoken with his neighbor. Chairman Hennessy asked if any one else would like to speak on behalf of this petition. No one came forward. A motion was made by Jim Riggs, seconded by Bob Nachtrieb, to approve PETITION 2021-30: A Variation to reduce the side yard setback from 8 ft. to 5.20 ft. for garage extension, located at 2106 Sudbury Drive. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Hennessy, Alessio, McCauley, Nachtrieb, Riggs and Roehr PETITION 2021-31: A Variation to reduce the front yard TMP-1834 setback from 30 ft. to 28.9 ft. for a covered front entry porch, located at 2213 Taylor Street.
