Call to Order and Pledge of Allegiance The Friday, October 25, 2013, regular meeting of the Lombard Board of Fire and Police Commissioners convened at 7:06 a.m. in the Lombard Village Hall Board Room, 255 East Wilson, Lombard, Illinois. Chairman William Dunne led the Pledge of Allegiance. B. Roll Call of Members Present: Chairman William Dunne Vice Chairman Thomas Rachubinski Absent: Secretary Kenneth Florey Guests: Police Chief Raymond Byrne Fire Chief Paul DiRienzo Police Administrative Coordinator Barbara Bartolotte C. Approval of Minutes D. Public Participation No public participation. E. Payment of Bills No payment of bills. F. Chairperson's Report Chairman William Dunne would like to say thank you to Lt. Watkins and Sgt. Joe Grage for the ride along that he did with each officer. Chairman Dunne informed Chief Byrne that both officers are extremely knowledgeable about their job and very dedicated great officers . His experience with the ride alongs was very enlightening and would like to thank Deputy Chief Tom Wirsing for setting it up, the Chief and the officers as well for their time. G. Correspondence The Board received membership renewal from the Illinois Fire & Police Commission Association. Commission card approval for Firefighter/Paramedics Adam Bonnan and Joe Shark and Police Officer Scott Jean and Sgt. Joe Grage. J. Unfinished Business K. New Business Chief Ray Byrne would like the Board to come up with dates for oral interviews for the police sergeant and lieutenants promotional testing. Chairman Dunne and Vice Chairman Rachubinski came up with, Saturday, November 23, 2013 and Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 7 a.m. for the interviews. Pending Secretary Ken Florey's availability dates will be discussed at a future time. Chairman William Dunne announced entry-level police candidate Daniel Slocum will remain on the 2013 Police Officer Eligibility List per the Rules and Regulations of the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners after he denied employment with the Lombard Police Department at this time. L. Other Business M. Executive Session It was moved by Chairman Dunne, seconded by Vice Chairman Rachubinski, to recess to Executive Session at 7:16 a.m. Motion carried. Reconvene The regular meeting of the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners reconvened at 7:53 a.m. Present: Chairman William Dunne Vice Chairman Thomas Rachubinski Guests: Police Chief Raymond Byrne Police Administrative Coordinator Barbara Bartolotte It was moved by Chairman Dunne, seconded by Vice Chairman Rachubinski to decline employment for police entry-level candidate Ognjen Saric. Motion carried. Chairman Dunne advised Chief Byrne that will we will bring back the entry-level police officer candidate file that was discussed in Executive Session for further review with the Board on, Tuesday, October 29, 2013 Special Meeting. The Lombard Police Detective that performed the background check and oral interview with the candidate will be present at the Special Meeting. O.
