Call to Order and Pledge of Allegiance The Friday, December 20, 2013, meeting of the Lombard Board of Fire and Police Commissioners convened at 7:03 a.m. in the Lombard Village Hall Board Room, 255 East Wilson Avenue, Lombard, Illinois. Chairman William Dunne led the Pledge of Allegiance. B. Roll Call of Members Present: Chairman William Dunne Vice Chairman Thomas Rachubinski Secretary Kenneth Florey Guests: Police Chief Raymond Byrne Fire Chief Paul DiRienzo Human Resources Administrator Kathleen Dunne Police Administrative Coordinator Barbara Bartolotte C. Approval of Minutes It was moved by Chairman William Dunne, seconded by Vice Chairman Thomas Rachubinski, to approve the minutes from the regular meeting on November 22, 2013. Motion carried. It was moved by Chairman William Dunne, seconded by Vice Chairman Thomas Rachubinski, to approve the minutes from the special meeting on December 14, 2013. Motion carried. D. Payment of Bills The Board received Invoice#78515 in the amount of $415.00 from Elmhurst Memorial Health Services for medical tests and blood work for new hire entry level police candidate Andrew Stern. The Board received Invoice#1188 in the amount of $320.00 from Conrad Polygraph for polygraphs for entry level police candidates, Becker and St. Clair. The Board received Invoice#SA000024302 from Stanard & Associates for psychological examination for new police hire Andrew Stern. The Board received Statement #166650 and 51 from Klein, Thorpe Jenkins in the amount of $230.00 for legal fees rendered and expenses through November, 2013. F. Chairperson's Report Nothing to report. G. Vice Chairperson's Report Nothing to report. H. Secretary's Report Nothing to report. I. Correspondence The Board received a letter of appreciation from Police Chief Raymond Byrne commending 14 Police Officers and 2 Community Service Officers for their accomplishments on a vehicle vs. pedestrian call. They worked as a team in order to complete the mission on a very busy night. The Board received a memo from Police Chief Raymond Byrne regarding the schedule for oral interviews for Police Sergeant Candidates. J. Unfinished Business Police Chief Raymond Byrne announced that the final step of police promotional testing, the police sergeant candidate testing, will take place on Saturday, January 18, 2014. Executive Session It was moved by Chairman William Dunne, seconded by Vice Chairman Rachubinski, to recess to Executive Session at 7:11 a.m. Motion carried. N. Reconvene The regular meeting of the Lombard Board of Fire and Police Commissioners reconvened at 7:16 a.m. Present: Chairman William Dunne Vice Chairman Thomas Rachubinski Secretary Kenneth Florey Guests: Police Chief Raymond Byrne Human Resources Administrator Kathleen Dunne Police Administrative Coordinator Barbara Bartolotte It was moved by Chairman William Dunne, seconded by Secretary Kenneth Florey to deny conditional offer of employment to entry-level police candidates, Nathaniel St. Clair and Joshua Becker. Motion carried. O.
