Call to Order and Pledge of Allegiance The Friday, March 27, 2015, meeting of the Lombard Board of Fire and Police Commissioners convened at 7:03 a.m. in the Lombard Village Hall Board Room, 255 East Wilson Avenue, Lombard, Illinois. B. Roll Call of Members Present: Chairman, William Dunne Vice Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski Guests: Police Chief, Raymond Byrne Fire Chief, Paul DiRienzo Fire Administrative Coordinator, Pammela Cooper Police Administration Coordinator, Barbara Bartolotte C. Approval of Minutes It was moved by Chairman William Dunne, seconded by Vice Chairman Thomas Rachubinski to approve the minutes from the regular meeting on February 27, 2015. Motion carried. D. Public Participation None. E. Payment of Bills The Board received invoice #174529 from Klein, Thorpe and Jenkins in the amount of $546.00 and invoice #1598 from Conrad Polygraph in the amount of $1,920.00 for polygraphs for 11 entry-level firefighters and 1 entry-level police candidate. It was moved by Chairman William Dunne, seconded by Vice Chairman Thomas Rachubinski to approve payment of the bills. Motion carried. F. Chairperson's Report G. Vice Chairperson's Report H. Secretary's Report Village of Lombard Page 1 Board of Fire and Police Minutes - Final March 27, 2015 Commissioners I. Correspondence The Board received correspondence from Illinois Fire & Police Commissioner Association regarding their spring seminar; the Board received a memorandum from Village Manager Scott Niehaus regarding authorization to proceed with three lieutenant promotions and hiring 1 entry-level firefighter; and approval of the public notice announcement regarding adopted amendments to Chapter III, Section 12, "Final Eligibility Register" of the Board's Rules and Regulations. J. Unfinished Business Chief DiRienzo updated Board on Battalion Chiefs promotional testing. The Chief gave the Board a preliminary standing report. He is waiting on the results from the assessment center from Stanard & Associates. Chief DiRienzo presented the Board with the Final Fire Lieutenants Eligibility List. It was moved by Chairman William Dunne, seconded by Vice Chairman Thomas Rachubinski to approve the the Final Fire Lieutenant Eligibility List. Motion carried. Chief Raymond Byrne updated the Board on the police officer application process. Stanard & Associates has taken over the application process and the entire process is now paperless. May 16th will be the written examination and orientation. K. New Business L. Other Business M. Executive Session It was moved by Vice Chairman Thomas Rachubinski, seconded by Chairman William Dunne, to recess to Executive Session at 7:15 a.m. Motion carried. Reconvene The regular meeting of the Lombard Board of Fire and Police Commissioners reconvened at 7:26 a.m. Present: Chairman, William Dunne Vice Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski Guests: Police Chief, Raymond Byrne Fire Chief, Paul DiRienzo Fire Administrative Coordinator, Pammela Cooper Police Administrative Coordinator, Barbara Bartolotte It was moved by Chairman William Dunne, seconded by Vice Chairman Thomas Rachubinski to extend a final offer of employment to police entry-level candidates, Timothy Franken and Brian Bastian. Motion carried. It was moved by Chairman William Dunne, seconded by Vice Chairman Thomas Rachubinski to promote firefighter/paramedics: Dan Ekhart, Greg Vazquez and Mark Laffrey to Fire Lieutenants. Motion carried. It was moved by Chairman William Dunne, seconded by Vice Chairman Thomas Rachubinski to extend a conditional offer of employment to firefighter entry-level candidate Eric Ramseth. Motion carried. O.
