A. Call to Order and Pledge of Allegiance
The Friday, August 28, 2015 meeting of the Lombard Board of Fire
and Police Commissioners convened at 6:33 a.m. in the Lombard
Village Hall Board Room, 255 East Wilson Avenue, Lombard, Illinois.
B. Roll Call of Members
Present:
Chairman, William Dunne
Vice Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski
Guests:
Fire Chief, Paul DiRienzo
Deputy Police Chief, Thomas Wirsing
Human Resources Administrator, Kathleen Dunne
Police Administrative Coordinator, Barbara Bartolotte
C. Approval of Minutes
It was moved by Chairman, William Dunne, seconded by Vice
Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski to approve the minutes from the
regular meeting on July 24, 2015. Motion carried.
D. Public Participation
None.
E. Payment of Bills
The Board received invoice #SA000028982 from Stanard &
Associates in the amount of $395.00 for the personality evaluation for
entry level police officer, Evan Boros; invoice #SA000028983 from
Stanard & Associates in the amount of $395.00 for the personality
evaluation for entry level firefighter, Luis Carbajal and invoice #177089
from Klein Thorpe and Jenkins in the amount of $546.00 for legal
services rendered through June 30, 2015.

I. Correspondence
The Board received a memo from Village Manager, Scott Niehaus
authorizing to proceed with the promotions of one (1) police lieutenant
and one (1) police sergeant.
The Board received 2 letters of appreciation from Police Chief,
Raymond Byrne to various police officers for work well done regarding
a burglary to auto arrest and a call with an attempted suicide; a letter
of commendation to a CSO and police officer regarding job well done
on a suicidal subject; and an award of valor to a police officer for his
skills and courage regarding a suicidal subject.

Deputy Chief Wirsing requested that the Board approve the initial
police eligibility list and the initial lateral police eligibility list. It was
moved by Chairman, William Dunne seconded by Vice Chairman,
Thomas Rachubinski to approve both of the eligibility lists. Motion
carried.

It was moved by Chairman, William Dunne seconded by Vice
Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski to adjourn the regular meeting of the
Lombard Board of Fire and Police Commissioners at 6:40 a.m.
Motion carried.
