Call to Order and Pledge of Allegiance The Friday, May 6, 2016, meeting of the Lombard Board of Fire and Police Commissioners convened at 4:05 p.m. in the Lombard Village Hall Board Room, 235 East Wilson Avenue, Lombard, IL 60148. B. Roll Call of Members Present: Chairman, William Dunne Vice Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski Guests: Chief of Police, Raymond Byrne Assistant Fire Chief, Jerry Howell Human Resources Administrator, Kathleen Dunne Police Administrative Coordinator, Barbara Bartolotte C. Approval of Minutes It was moved by Chairman William Dunne, seconded by Vice Chairmen Thomas Rachubinski, to approve the minutes from the regular meeting on April 22, 2016. Motion carried. D. Public Participation E. Payment of Bills The Board received Invoice# 2039 from Conrad Polygraph in the amount of $1,360 for polygraphs for both firefighter candidates and police candidates; Invoice# 182438 from Klein, Thorpe and Jenkins in the amount of $61.50 for research and review of temporary appointment issues; and Invoice# SA000031261 from Stanard & Associates in the amount of $790.00 for the personality evaluation of 2 firefighter candidates. It was moved by Chairman William Dunne, seconded by Vice Chairman Thomas Rachubinski to approve payment of the bills. Motion carried. F. Chairperson's Report G. Vice Chairperson's Report Village of Lombard Page 1 Board of Fire and Police Minutes - Final May 6, 2016 Commissioners H. Secretary's Report I. Correspondence The Board received 2 memos from Fire Chief DiRienzo to Village Manager Scott Niehaus regarding probationary period for Lt. Brad Delatorre and Battalion Chief Al Greene ended on January 24, 2016. J. Unfinished Business K. New Business L. Other Business M. Executive Session N. Reconvene It was moved by Chairmen William Dunne, seconded by Vice Chairmen Thomas Rachubinski to proceed with background investigations on firefighter candidates Blockinger and Putz and denial letters will be sent to Reaves and Perez. Motion carried. It was moved by Chairman William Dunne, seconded by Vice Chairman Thomas Rachubinski to promote Sgt. Will Mitchell to the rank of Police Lieutenant and Officer Terry Evoy to the rank of Police Sergeant. Motion carried. It was moved by Chairman William Dunne, seconded by Vice Chairmen Thomas Rachubinski to extend a final offer of employment to police candidate Daniel Herrera. Motion carried.
