Call to Order and Pledge of Allegiance The Friday, May 19, 2017 meeting of the Lombard Board of Fire and Police Commissioners convened at 6:45 a.m. in the Lombard Village Hall Board Room, 255 E. Wilson Avenue, Lombard, Illinois. B. Roll Call of Members Present: Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski Secretary, Kyle Dolan Guests: Police Chief, Raymond Byrne Fire Chief, Rick Sander Human Resources Director, Kathleen Dunne Fire Administrative Coordinator, Sheila York Police Administrative Coordinator, Barbara Bartolotte C. Approval of Minutes It was moved by Chairman Thomas Rachubinski, seconded by Secretary Kyle Dolan to approve the minutes from the regular meeting on April 20, 2017 and the special meeting on April 24, 2017. Motion carried. D. Public Participation E. Payment of Bills The Board received an invoice from Elmhurst Occupational Health in the amount of $610.00 for medical testing for a police candidate; and an invoice from Stanard & Associates in the amount of $395.00 for a personality evaluation for a police candidate. It was moved by Chairman Thomas Rachubinski, seconded by Secretary Kyle Dolan to approve the payment of the bills. Motion carried. F. Chairperson's Report Chairman Thomas Rachubinski welcomed our new Secretary, Kyle Dolan to the Board. G. Vice Chairperson's Report Village of Lombard Page 1 Board of Fire and Police Minutes - Final May 19, 2017 Commissioners H. Secretary's Report Secretary Kyle Dolan is looking forward to working with everybody. I. Correspondence The Board received a memo regarding an oral reprimand from Fire Lt. Greg Vazquez to a firefighter/paramedic and also a memo regarding an oral reprimand from Fire Lt. Dan Ekhart to a firefighter/paramedic. J. Unfinished Business The written exam for police sergeant and lieutenant testing is June 17. The assessment center is scheduled for the end of June. The Chief mentioned that 25% of the exam results are from the Board's individual interviews with the candidates. Barb will email the Board members for 2 dates that they are available in July for candidate interviews. Chief Sander mentioned that the application deadline to turn in applications for the fire lieutenant testing is June 9. 5% of the exam results are from the Board's individual interviews with the candidates. The Chief is looking for 2 dates the Board is available between September 5-22nd. There are currently 17 firefighters who have taken packets. Barb will email the Board to set up dates for same with the Board. K. New Business L. Other Business M. Executive Session It was moved by Chairman Thomas Rachubinski, seconded by Secretary Kyle Dolan to recess to executive session at 6:52 a.m. Motion carried. Reconvene The regular meeting of the Lombard Board of Fire and Police Commissioners reconvened at 6:54 a.m. Present: Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski Secretary, Kyle Dolan Guests: Police Chief, Raymond Byrne Fire Chief, Rick Sander Human Resources Director, Kathleen Dunne Fire Administrative Coordinator, Sheila York Police Administrative Coordinator, Barbara Bartolotte It was moved by Chairman Thomas Rachubinski, seconded by Secretary Kyle Dolan to approve the final offer of employment for firefighter candidate Kevin Matthews. Motion carried. O.
