Call to Order and Pledge of Allegiance The Monday, November 20, 2017 meeting of the Lombard Board of Fire and Police Commissioners convened at 7:17 a.m. in the Lombard Village Hall Board Room, 255 East Wilson Avenue, Lombard, Illinois. B. Roll Call of Members Present: Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski Vice Chairman, Kenneth Florey Guests: Police Chief, Roy Newton Fire Chief, Rick Sander Human Resources Director, Kathleen Dunne Police Administrative Coordinator, Barbara Bartolotte *C. Approval of Minutes It was moved by Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski, seconded by Vice Chairman, Kenneth Florey to approve the minutes from the special meeting on September 14, 2017. Motion carried. D. Public Participation E. Payment of Bills The Board received invoice# 2697 from Conrad Polygraph in the amount of $160.00 for a firefighter polygraph; invoice# SA000035839 from Stanard & Associates in the amount of $14,637.52 for the 2017 Fire Lieutenant Promotional Process; invoice #00056131 from Elmhurst Occupational Health in the amount of $4,045.00 for police candidate medical testing and invoice #00009782 from Elmhurst Occupational Health in the amount of $465.00 for a firefighter candidate medical testing. It was moved by Chairman Thomas Rachubinski, seconded by Vice Chairman Kenneth Florey to approve payment of all bills. Motion carried. F. Correspondence The Board received a copy of a Letter of Appreciation from Police Chief Roy Newton to Officer Jim Brown for being the 2017 Citizen Police Academy Class Supervisor; copy of a Letter of Appreciation addressed to numerous officers on their professional police work on a 10-57 and DUI arrest; a memo from Village Manager, Scott Niehaus regarding authorization to proceed with the hiring of 1 firefighter due to the retirement of another firefighter. J. Unfinished Business K. New Business It was moved by Vice Chairman Kenneth Florey, seconded by Chairman Thomas Rachubinski to approve the 2017 Initial Police Officer Eligibility List and the 2017 Police Officer Lateral List. Motion carried. It was moved by Chairman Thomas Rachubinski, seconded by Vice Chairman Kenneth Florey to approve the promotion of Police Sgt. Joseph Grage to Police Lieutenant; and it was moved by Vice Chairman Kenneth Florey, seconded by Chairman Thomas Rachubinski to approve the promotion of Police Officer James Kohl to Police Sergeant. Both motions carried. The Board authorized the Fire Department to move forward with the hiring of a new firefighter. L. Other Business M.
