Call to Order and Pledge of Allegiance The Friday, regular meeting of the Lombard Board of Fire and Police Commissioners convened at 7:45 a.m. in the Lombard Village Hall Board Room, 255 East Wilson Avenue, Lombard, Illinois. B. Roll Call of Members Present: Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski Vice Chairman, Kenneth Florey Secretary, Kyle Dolan Guests: Police Chief, Roy Newton Fire Chief, Rick Sander Deputy Fire Chief, Ray Kickert Human Resources Director, Kathleen Dunne Fire Administrative Coordinator, Sheila York Police Administrative Coordinator, Barbara Bartolotte C. Approval of Minutes It was moved by Chairman Thomas Rachubinski, seconded by Secretary Kyle Dolan to approve the minutes from the regular meeting on December 20, 2017 and the special meeting on January 12, 2018. Motion carried. D. Public Participation E. Payment of Bills The Board received invoice# 2773 in the amount of $320.00 and invoice# 2774 in the amount of $480.00 from Conrad Polygraph for polygraphs for police and fire candidates; invoice# 39463 in the amount of $162.00 from Lumen Cardiovascular for tests done for a fire candidate. It was moved by Chairman Thomas Rachubinski, seconded by Vice Chairman Kenneth Florey to approve payment of bills. Motion carried. F. Correspondence The Board received copies of 3 letters of appreciation from Police Chief Roy Newton addressed to various officers and a copy of a letter of commendation to a police officer. J. Unfinished Business K. New Business L. Other Business M. Executive Session It was moved by Chairman Thomas Rachubinski, seconded by Secretary Kyle Dolan to recess to executive session at 7:48 a.m. Motion carried. Reconvene The regular meeting of the Lombard Board of Fire and Police Commissioners reconvened at 8:07 a.m. Present: Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski Vice Chairman, Kenneth Florey Secretary, Kyle Dolan Guests: Police Chief, Roy Newton Fire Chief, Rick Sander Deputy Fire Chief, Ray Kickert Human Resources Director, Kathleen Dunne Fire Administrative Coordinator, Sheila York Police Administrative Coordinator, Barbara Bartolotte It was moved by Chairman Thomas Rachubinski, seconded by Secretary Kyle Dolan to extend final offers of employment to firefighter candidates, Blake Talip and Steven Kemnitz. Motion carried. It was moved by Chairman Thomas Rachubinski seconded by Secretary Kyle Dolan to send a letter of denial of employment to firefighter candidate Dimitriy Gubarev. Motion carried. O.
