A. Call to Order and Pledge of Allegiance
The Thursday, March 21, 2019 special meeting of the Lombard Board of
Fire and Police Commissioners convened at 8:00 a.m. in the Lombard
Village Hall Board Room, 255 East Wilson Avenue, Lombard, Illinois
60148.
B. Roll Call of Members
Present:
Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski
Secretary, Kyle Dolan

Police Chief, Roy Newton
Fire Chief, Rick Sander
Deputy Fire Chief, Ray Kickert
Human Resources Director, Kathleen Dunne
Fire Administrative Coordinator, Sheila York

C. Approval of Minutes
It was moved by Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski, seconded by
Secretary, Kyle Dolan to approve the minutes from the special meeting
on March 7, 2019. Motion carried.
D. Public Participation
E. Payment of Bills
The Board received Invoice#00093559 from Elmhurst Occupational
Health in the amount of $1,400.00 for 2 police candidates medical
testing for hiring. It was moved by Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski,
seconded by Secretary, Kyle Dolan to approve payment of the bill.
Motion carried.

The Board received a copy of a letter of appreciation memorandum from
Police Chief, Roy Newton to Officer Garrett Klunk and Officer Scott
Frieling regarding their excellent display of training and teamwork
regarding extinguishing a car fire.

It was moved by Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski, seconded by
Secretary, Kyle Dolan to adjourn to executive session at 8:04 a.m.
Motion carried.

The meeting of the Lombard Board of Fire and Police Commissioners
reconvened at 8:06 a.m.

It was moved by Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski, seconded by
Secretary, Kyle Dolan to extend final offers of employment to
firefighter/paramedic candidate, Maris Hovee and police candidates,
Kevin Kasher and John Fairbairn. Motion carried.
