Call to Order and Pledge of Allegiance The Friday, March 15, 2024 special meeting of the Lombard Board of Fire and Police Commissioners convened at 8:00 a.m. in the Village of Lombard Board Room, 255 East Wilson Avenue, Lombard, Illinois 60148. B. Roll Call of Members Present: Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski Vice Chairman, Kenneth Florey Secretary, Kyle Dolan Guests: Fire Chief, Rick Sander Fire Deputy Chief, George Hyland Deputy Chief of Police, Joe Grage Human Resources Director, Kathleen Dunne Police Administrative Coordinator, Barbara Blankenship C. Approval of Minutes D. Public Participation E. Payment of Bills The Board received Invoice#5955 from Conrad Polygraph in the amount of $180.00 for a polygraph examination for a police officer candidate; Invoice#00178135 from Elmhurst Occupational Health in the amount of $82.00 for an immunization for a police officer candidate; Invoice#SA000057091 in the amount of $495.00 for a personality evaluation for a police officer candidate. It was moved by Secretary, Kyle Dolan, seconded by Vice Chairman, Kenneth Florey to approve payment of all bills. Motion carried. F. Chairperson's Report G. New Business Chief Sander mentioned that Fire Battalion Chief interviews will be May 22, 2024 or May 23, 2024. It was moved by Secretary, Kyle Dolan, seconded by Vice Chairman, Kenneth Florey to approve to move forward with firefighter/paramedic testing process. Motion carried. L. Other Business M. Executive Session It was moved by Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski, seconded by Vice Chairman, Kenneth Florey to adjourn to executive session at 8:05 a.m. Motion carried. Reconvene The special meeting of the Lombard Board of Fire and Police Commissioners reconvened at 8:20 a.m. Present: Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski Vice Chairman, Kenneth Florey Secretary, Kyle Dolan Guests: Fire Chief, Rick Sander Fire Deputy Chief, George Hyland Police Deputy Chief, Joe Grage Human Resources Director, Kathleen Dunne Police Administrative Coordinator, Barbara Blankenship It was moved by Secretary, Kyle Dolan, seconded by Vice Chairman, Kenneth Florey to send denial letters of employment to police officer candidates, Patrick Guest, Eric Drozdek, Andrew Marquez, Andrew Chemers and Kevin Jack. Motion carried. It was moved by Secretary, Kyle Dolan seconded by Vice Chairman, Kenneth Florey to extend a final offer of employment to police officer candidate, Troy Vargas. Motion carried. It was moved by Secretary, Kyle Dolan, seconded by Vice Chairman, Kenneth Florey to extend a conditional offer of employment to police officer candidate, Veronica Suarez. Motion carried. It was moved by Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski, seconded by Vice Chairman, Kenneth Florey to send denial letters of employment to firefighter/paramedic candidates Dakota Kbrahim and Lukasz Repczynski.
