Call to Order and Pledge of Allegiance The Thursday, August 29, 2024 meeting of the Lombard Board of Fire and Police Commissioners convened at 8:00 a.m. in the Village of Lombard Board Room, 255 East Wilson Avenue, Lombard, Illinois 60148. B. Roll Call of Members Present: Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski Vice Chairman, Kenneth Florey Secretary, Kyle Dolan Guests: Fire Chief, Rick Sander Fire Deputy Chief, Nathan Gac Human Resources Director, Kathleen Dunne Police Administrative Coordinator, Barbara Blankenship C. Approval of Minutes D. Public Participation E. Payment of Bills The Board received Invoice #00186518 from Elmhurst Occupational Health in the amount of $1,578.00 for medical testing fees for two police officer candidates. It was moved by Vice Chairman, Kenneth Florey, seconded by Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski to approve payment of the bill. Motion carried. F. Chairperson's Report G. Vice Chairperson's Report H. Correspondence The Board received a memorandum from Fire Chief Rick Sander regarding the swearing in ceremony on September 19, 2024 of Firefighter personnel. J. Unfinished Business K. New Business L. Other Business M. Executive Session It was moved by Vice Chairman, Kenneth Florey, seconded by Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski to adjourn to executive session at 8:04 a.m. Motion carried. N. Reconvene The meeting of the Lombard Board of Fire and Police Commissioners reconvened at 8:11 a.m. Present: Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski Vice Chairman, Kenneth Florey Secretary, Kyle Dolan Guests: Fire Chief, Rick Sander Fire Deputy Chief, Nathan Gac Human Resources Director, Kathleen Dunne Police Administrative Coordinator, Barbara Blankenship It was moved by Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski, seconded by Vice Chairman, Kenneth Florey to extend a conditional offer of employment to firefighter candidate, Leo Gonzalez and send denial letters of employment to firefighter candidates Braden Glennon and Dennis Reisel.
