Jenelle Hardtke lead the group in the Pledge of Allegiance. 2.0 Roll Call Present 9 - Robyn Pike, Pamela Bedard, Jenelle Hardtke, Sharon Vish, Ahmed Ali, Barbara Ware, Gladys Piper, Michael Ledonne, and Anthony Pacilli Also present: Nicole Aranas, Assistant Village Manager. 3.0 Public Participation None. 4.0 Approval of Minutes A motion was made by Pam Bedard, seconded by Gladys Piper, to approve the minutes of the August 14, 2017, committee meeting. The motion was approved unanimously. 5.0 Old Business 170351 Senior Fair, October 4, 2017 - An updated list of vendors will be provided to the committee. Village of Lombard Page 1 Community Relations Committee Minutes September 11, 2017 - A picture will be taken for the Lombardian at the September Committee meeting. - Review of Committee Members attending. Please be there to help set-up by 7:30 a.m., if possible. The current list of vendors for Senior Fair will be emailed to the committee members. A photo of the committee was taken by Steve Spoden for The Lombardian to promote the Senior Fair. Chairperson Robyn Pike reviewed availability of committee members for the Senior Fair. Robyn let the group know that the Village is at capacity with respect to vendors for the Senior Fair. The Village has had to turn some vendors away over the course of the past week. Michael Ledonne wanted to compliment staff for the great job they have done in putting the event together. 6.0 New Business 170383 Senior Fair Nominations Committee Members will vote on the 2017 Senior Man and Woman of the Year. The Committee discussed the nominees for Senior Man and Woman of the Year. There were two nominations for Senior Man of the Year. There were three nominees for Senior Woman of the Year. The committee agreed the nominees should be told ahead of time about who won. The Committee does not want the winners to react and allow them the option as to whether they wish to be honored. Pam Bedard made a motion in support of Dennis McNicholas as Senior Man of the Year and Anna Weselak for Senior Woman of the Year, the motion was second by Barb Ware. The committee voted unanimously to award Dennis McNicholas, Senior Man of the Year and Anna Weselak, Senior Woman of the Year. 7.0 Other Business None.
