The motion passed by unanimous vote. 5.0 Old Business 6.0 New Business 230270 Senior Fair 2023 Staff will provide an update related to the 2023 Senior Fair, scheduled for Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at the Madison Meadow Athletic Center. Village of Lombard Page 1 Community Relations Committee Minutes August 14, 2023 Communications Coordinator Stephanie Calvillo shared updates regarding the 2023 Senior Fair event, scheduled for Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at the Madison Meadow Athletic Center. All vendors are welcome at this year’s fair and must submit application (available on Village website). This year’s fair will once again offer popular services, including flu shots, blood pressure screenings, ID renewals (secretary of state), etc. 230271 Senior of the Year Nominations Staff will share an update about this year's Senior of the Year nomination process and anticipated timeline. Communications Coordinator Stephanie Calvillo shared that nominations are being accepted for Senior Woman and Man of the Year through 4:30 p.m. on September 6, 2023. The Community will vote for the winner on Monday, September 11, 2023. 230212 National Citizens Survey The committee will review and discuss a proposal to conduct the National Citizens Survey in Lombard. The National Citizens Survey is a comprehensive survey that provides insights into community opinions, satisfaction levels, and areas for improvement. Following a discussion about the language diversity within our community, it was concluded that the Spanish translation add-on was unnecessary if other languages could not also be accommodated.
