250388 Victim Services Contract - Association for Individual Development
(A.I.D.)
The Village contracts with the Association for Individual Development
(A.I.D.) to provide support services to employees and community
members experiencing a crisis. A.I.D. offers crisis intervention,
counseling, advocacy, education, and referral services for victims of
crime or trauma, as well as witnesses and affected community members.
The Community Relations Committee will review program usage for 2025
and consider the proposed 2026 Victim Services Contract.
Staff presented an overview of the Village’s Victim Services Program
and the proposed contract renewal with the Association for Individual
Development (A.I.D.). Committee members expressed strong support
for continuing the program and noted the significant value it provides to
residents and employees during times of crisis. Members suggested
increasing communication about the availability of these services to
raise public awareness. A question was asked regarding whether Police
and Fire personnel also have access to direct mental health support
resources, and staff confirmed that they do. The Committee agreed to
move forward with recommending renewal of the Victim Services
contract.
A motion was made by Madison Smith, seconded by Sharon Vish, to approve
the Victim Services Contract with A.I.D. to the Board of Trustees for approval.
The motion passed unanimously. Michael Ledonne did not vote as he had not
yet arrived.

the Village. Committee members expressed appreciation for the
information and noted that the tool is an excellent resource for staying
informed about development activity in town. A question was raised
about how to access the StoryMap through the Village website, and
members suggested exploring a more prominent placement on the
home page. Staff will review options and consider adding it to the
