The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Trustee Foltyniewicz. 2.0 Roll Call Present 8 - Reid Foltyniewicz, Mary Cation, James W. Hogan, David Cain Jr., Dan Hartweg, Ambareen Ahmed, Randy King, and Michael Himmes Absent 2 - Jay Tovian, and Paul Chirchirillo 3.0 Public Participation 4.0 Approval of Minutes A motion was made by Mary Cation, seconded by Ambareen Ahmed, that this be approved. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 7- Mary Cation, James W. Hogan, David Cain Jr., Dan Hartweg, Ambareen Ahmed, Randy King, and Michael Himmes Absent: 2- Jay Tovian, and Paul Chirchirillo 5.0 New Business 180049 2019 Budget Discussion Tim reviewed the budget presentation and the Committee Member requested additional information or input from other Committees. The information will be compiled by staff for discussion at the next F&A Committee meeting. 6.0 Other Business 180050 Water and Sewer Rate Study Jamie reviewed the tentative schedule for the Water & Sewer Rate Study. MFSG will be at the next meeting to lead a discussion on setting the rate structure. Village of Lombard Page 1 Finance & Administration Meeting Minutes January 22, 2018 Committee 7.0 Review of Financial Information Tim reviewed the preliminary financial report for December 2018. 8.0 Future Meeting Dates February 26th Regular Meeting Cancelled March 19th @ 6 p.m. F&A Committee to finalize recommendation to Village Board on 2019 Expenditure Reductions and Revenue Increases Eric Callocchia from Municipal & Financial Services Group will be in attendance to lead discussion on Designing a Water & Sewer Rate Structure for Lombard. Recommendations from the F&A Committee will be used to analyze data and presented to the Public Works & Environmental (PW&E) Committee on May 8th. PW&E Committee will discuss how the recommended rate structure impacts the Capital Improvement Plan. March 26th Regular Meeting Cancelled April 19th @ 5 p.m. Joint Village Board and F&A Committee meeting on 2019 Budget Recommendations April 23rd Regular Meeting Cancelled May 28th Regular Meeting Cancelled June 12th @ 5 p.m. Joint F&A Committee and PW&E Committee to develop a joint Water & Sewer Rate Study recommendation that will be reviewed by the Village Board at a joint workshop in August. (immediately following 5 p.m. meeting) F&A Committee will adjourn to the Village Manager’s Conference room for a meeting to review the 2017 CAFR with auditor from Lauterbach & Amen and provide update on 2017 Waterfall (Long Range Plan Fund) June 25th Regular Meeting Cancelled July 23rd Regular Meeting Cancelled Village of Lombard Page 2 Finance & Administration Meeting Minutes January 22, 2018 Committee The workshop dates below may be subject to change.
