The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Trustee Foltyniewicz. 2.0 Roll Call Present 5 - Reid Foltyniewicz, Mary Cation, David Cain Jr., Jay Tovian, and Michael Himmes Absent 4 - James W. Hogan, Dan Hartweg, Ambareen Ahmed, and Randy King Staff Present:, Scott Niehaus, Nicole Aranas Tim Sexton, Jamie Cunningham Others Present: Mike Nugent and St. Pius’s Principal Toni Miller 3.0 Public Participation None 4.0 Approval of Minutes It was moved by Tovian, seconded by Cation, to approve the minutes for the October 22, 2018 meeting. The motion carried by the following voice vote: Aye: 4- Mary Cation, David Cain Jr., Jay Tovian, and Michael Himmes Absent: 4- James W. Hogan, Dan Hartweg, Ambareen Ahmed, and Randy King 5.0 New Business 180490 Recommendation on 2019 Insurance Renewal Mike Nugent, the Village of Lombard’s Risk Management consultant presented the 2019 renewal pricing. Since last week, the pricing for Excess Property was reduced by $374 bringing the new total to $365,668 for all fees. It was moved by Mary Cation, seconded by Mike Himmes, to recommend to the Village Board to accept the 2019 Risk Management Insurance Renewal Program with Safety National. Hogan, Dan Hartweg, Ambareen Ahmed, and Randy King 180491 Discussion concerning raffles-Queen of Heart Raffles Nicole Aranas presented the memo and Principal Toni Miller from St. Pius discussed the letter she wrote requesting an increase in the number of days from 150 to 365 and up to $500,000 compared to the current prize limit of $200,000. Mary Cation asked if Village resources such as Police, Fire, or Public Works would be needed and can a payback provision be added. It was moved by Mary Cation, seconded by Jay Tovian, to recommend to the Village Board changing the language to $500,000 and one year time limit. In addition, the Committee would like the Village Attorney to draw up language that the licensee pay for the Village costs if either they request it, or if the Village determines that we must provide services (such as Police, Fire or Public Works). Hogan, Dan Hartweg, Ambareen Ahmed, and Randy King 6.0 Other Business 7.0 Review of Financial Information 8.0 Future Meeting Dates Future Meeting Dates: December meeting cancelled and F&A Committee discussed future dates/times. The Committee agreed to keep the regular schedule of the 4th Monday of each month at 6 p.m. in the Village Manager’s Conference Room. The next meeting will be on January 28th @ 6 p.m. 9.0 Adjournment A motion was made by Jay Tovian, seconded by David Cain, Jr., that this meeting be adjourned at 8:05 P.M..
