Hogan, David Cain Jr., and Jay Tovian Absent 3 - Dan Hartweg, Ambareen Ahmed, and Benjamin Pelz Present 4 - Mary Cation, James W. Hogan, David Cain Jr., and Jay Tovian Absent 3 - Dan Hartweg, Ambareen Ahmed, and Benjamin Pelz Staff Present: Scott Niehaus, Tim Sexton, Jamie Cunningham 3.0 Public Participation None 4.0 Approval of Minutes It was moved by Hogan, seconded by Cation, to approve the minutes for July 28, 2014 meeting. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 4- Mary Cation, James W. Hogan, David Cain Jr., and Jay Tovian Absent: 3- Dan Hartweg, Ambareen Ahmed, and Benjamin Pelz Aye: 4- Mary Cation, James W. Tim Sexton reviewed the tax levy request and charts with the Finance Committee. A motion was made by Hogan, seconded by Tovian, to recommend that the Village Board approve the 2014 Property Tax Levy increase as proposed. Tim Sexton reviewed the 2015 Water & Sewer Rate Memo and Communications Plan with the Finance Committee. Trustee Peter Breen requested staff to provide information to the public on how an Enterprise Fund works. Mary Cation stated that it is important to educate the public on the information shown in the W&S Rate charts and the tax levy charts presented. A motion was made by Jay Tovian, seconded by Mary Cation, to recommend that the Village Board approve the 2015 Water & Sewer Rate increases as proposed. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 4– Jay Tovian, Mary Cation, James Hogan, David Cain Absent: 3- Dan Hartweg, Ambareen Ahmed, and Benjamin Pelz 6.0 Other Business 7.0 Review of Financial Information Tim Sexton reviewed the financial report for the period ending August 2014. 8.0 Future Meeting Dates October 27, 2014 December 1, 2014 9.0 Adjournment A motion was made by David Cain, Jr., seconded by James W.
