Unfinished Business 130270 Chicago, Aurora and Elgin Electric Railroad/ Prairie Path Discussion relative to Commemorative Signage. Rita stated that she had met with the Village Manager, David Hulseberg; the Finance Director, Tim Sexton; Rhonda Heabel, Management Analyst and Commission Treasurer, Richard Anstee about budget items for the Historical Commission. The signage for this project is budgeted for $3500 and the funds will be available January 1, 2014. It was also determined that since the amount is under $10,000, the purchase of the signs will not require a bid process and can be managed administratively by the Community Development Department. A report would need to be presented to the Commission for their approval. A presentation with a drawing/photo will be required for DuPage County approval if any of the signs will be in their right of way. When considering the location of the signs, the committee plans favor Village right of way when possible. 120067 Amendment to the Historical Preservation Ordinance Discussion relative to amending the Historical Preservation Ordinance relative to adding historic districts. Further efforts on contacting downtown property owners have been temporarily put on hold until the new director of Lombard Town Centre is settled sometime in early August. 130213 Local Landmark Survey Discussion relative to updating the inventory of local landmarks. Rita informed the Committee that $2,500 is available for updating the survey. This information was obtained from the same meeting reference above concerning the signage budget. However, it was determined that the funds for the survey are readily available within this budget year. New Business There was no new business.
