Eileen Mueller led the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll Call Present 5 - Jack Jones, Marcy Novak, Tom Fetters, Eileen Mueller, and Jennifer Henaghan Also present: Rita Schneider, Chairperson and Tami Urish, staff liaison. Approval of Minutes The minutes of the January 4, 2016 meeting were approved by Commissioner Fetters. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Novak. All were in favor, the motion passed. Unfinished Business 130270 Chicago, Aurora and Elgin Railroad/ Prairie Path Discussion relative to Commemorative Signage. The Committee members discussed the copyright permission regarding the photograph for the Main Street sign and the photograph for the Stewart Avenue sign. Commissioner Fetters is to email to staff Village of Lombard Page 1 Lombard Historical Commission Minutes January 26, 2016 the article referring to the copyright provisions that do not apply to photographs dated before 1923. Commissioner Novak volunteered to attempt to contact Richard Allerton for copyright permission of the Stewart Avenue photograph. The sheets on each of the four stations were reviewed and corrected. The Committee members would prefer to have the map of the train stops on all four signs but will defer to the sign company’s design advice if necessary. Commissioner Mueller volunteered to meet with Jean Cooper to see if there are any items in the archives that could be used for any of the signs. Staff was directed to contact Serge Ruffolo to schedule an appointment with him on February 3 before 11 a.m. or after 2 p.m. if possible to turn over materials to begin the project. New Business No new business was discussed. Adjournment The Commissioners agreed to try to meet again with the sign company representative on February 3, 2016.
