Gerhardt Community Room Public Safety & Transportation Committee Trustee Dan Whittington, Chairperson Trustee Mike Fugiel, Alternate Chairperson Jennifer Perkins, Michael Corso, John Larkin, John Schwarz, Robert Corbino, Gary Cation, Jerry Schaefer and John Mullins Public Safety & Transportation Minutes October 2, 2017 Committee 1.0 Call to Order and Pledge of Allegiance The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Whittington. 2.0 Roll Call Present 9 - Dan Whittington, Jennifer Perkins, Michael Corso, John Larkin Jr., John Schwarz, Bob Corbino, Gary Cation, Jerry Shaefer, and John Mullins 3.0 Public Participation 4.0 Approval of Minutes A motion was made to approve the minutes of the August 7, 2017 meeting and the minutes of the August 7, 2017 Joint Public Works & Environmental Concerns and Public Safety & Transportation Committees meeting. The motion carried unanimously. 5.0 Unfinished Business 170277 Westmore-Meyers Road Safety Enhancements Request for committee approval of proposed project recommendations. (DISTRICT# 5 & 6) A motion was made to accept staff recommendation. The motion failed by the following vote: Aye: 3- John Larkin Jr., Gary Cation, and John Mullins Nay: 5- Jennifer Perkins, Michael Corso, John Schwarz, Bob Corbino, and Jerry Shaefer 170323 Recommendation of Public Safety & Transportation Committee - 15 Minute Parking on Park Avenue Ordinance amending the Village of Lombard Traffic Code establishing three "15 minute parking" spaces on the west side of Park Avenue and three "15 minute parking" spaces on the east side of Park Avenue. (DISTRICT #1) A motion was made that this Request be recommend to the Board of Trustees for Approval. The motion passed by an unanimous vote. 6.0 New Business 170418 Intersection of Wilson Avenue & Westmore-Meyers Road A request from School District 45 to install various signage. (DISTRICT #6) Village of Lombard Page 1 Public Safety & Transportation Minutes October 2, 2017 Committee A motion was made that this Request be recommended to the Board of Trustees for approval. The motion passed by an unanimous vote. 170419 Intersection of Meyers Road & Butterfield Road Request to IDOT/DuDOT regarding a time extension of the left turn arrow on Meyers Road at Butterfield Road. A motion was made that this Request be recommended to the Board of Trustees for approval.
