The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 4- Arthur Kuehl, Mike Kuderna, David Arnold, and Steve Wolsztyniak Abstain: 2- Joe Glazier Jr., and Allen Hennig Absent: 2- John Kaforski, and Mark Dvorak 5.0 Ratification 210416 Large Water Meter Replacement Program Reflecting an increase to the contract with Water Resources, Inc. in the amount of $51,100.00 for the purchase of additional Neptune 3" and 4" water meters. (DISTRICTS - ALL) A motion was made by Joe Glazier, Jr., seconded by Arthur Kuehl, that this Resolution be ratified. The motion passed by an unanimous vote. 220017 Concrete Flatwork Program Final Balance Change Order #1 Reflecting a decrease to the contract with Globe Construction in the amount of -$47,662.72. (DISTRICTS - ALL) A motion was made by Joe Glazier, Jr., seconded by Arthur Kuehl, that this Resolution be ratified. The motion passed by an unanimous vote. 220018 Well #7 Emergency Inspection, Cleaning and Repair Reflecting an increase to the contract with Water Well Solutions in the amount of $17,500.00. (DISTRICT #6) A motion was made by Joe Glazier, Jr., seconded by Arthur Kuehl, that this Resolution be ratified. The motion passed by an unanimous vote. Village of Lombard Page 1 Public Works & Environmental Minutes February 8, 2022 Concerns 220032 FY 2021 Concrete Rehabilitation Program Final Balancing Change Order #1 Reflecting an increase to the contract with G & W Concrete in the amount of $42,762.95. (DISTRICTS - ALL) A motion was made by Joe Glazier, Jr., seconded by Arthur Kuehl, that this Resolution be ratified. The motion passed by an unanimous vote. 6.0 Unfinished Business 210096 An Ordinance Amending Title IX, Chapter 94, Section 94.04 and Title IX, Chapter 99, Sections 99.01 through 99.06 of the Lombard Village Code in Regard to Trees A summary/report of the first year of the dead tree ordinance. Goldsmith reviewed this item with the committee members present. Bachner: how involved were we in the removals on private property? Goldsmith: Code Enforcement follows up on private property. Bachner: relayed to the committee that he spoke with John Kaforski, and John is still against our involvement with private property trees. 7.0 New Business 220054 Discussion of Village Owned Deep Wells Staff will provide these options at the February 8, 2022 meeting. Goldsmith reviewed this memo with the committee members present. An issue began earlier this year when a contractor was asked to pump out Well #7. Staff reviewed the history and status of backup wells. Staff also asked for Wells # 7, 8 and 10 be included in the Water Network Analysis. Committee was in agreement with this. 8.0 Other Business Goldsmith related to the committee that the sidewalks in the downtown area of the Village are in design stage. This is the area on St. Charles Rd. east of Main St. to Grace St. This design is the 2nd phase of sidewalk improvements. This is covered by TIF funds. Arnold: the brick by the Post Office is in bad shape, and needs some work now. 9.0 Information Only Village of Lombard Page 2 Public Works & Environmental Minutes February 8, 2022 Concerns 220055 Consultant Engineering Shortlists for 2022-2024 Memo is for information only and no action is required by the committee. Goldsmith reviewed the shortlist process with the committee members. Some discussion ensued. 220056 RFQs Architectural Info Information only-no back up paperwork for this item. Goldsmith gave a short update on these 2 projects. (1) Design work for facility Fleet improvements, and (2) Assessment of a joint Public Service area for Fire and Police Departments. 10.
