Intercultural Development Inventory® (IDI®) And Group Profile Report Longmont City Council Members have been scheduled to participate in the Intercultural Development Inventory® (IDI®). The Equity Team and the Longmont Multicultural Action Committee completed the IDI assessment and found it very useful and educational and are excited to have City Council participate and go through this training. The IDI is a 30-question assessment that each person will take individually and the scores will then be compiled with the group into an IDI Group Profile Report. This report provides valuable information about the mindset/skillset toward cultural differences and commonalities found within the Council. IDI Profile results can help increase one’s cultural understanding of the differences and commonalities in worldviews. The IDI is a valid and reliable assessment of intercultural competence and it has been developed and tested using rigorous cross-culturally validated psychometric protocols with over 220,000 respondents from various cultural groups and countries. The Group Profile presentation is scheduled for Tuesday, August 29, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM in the Council Study Session room.
