AGENDA SENIOR CITIZENS ADVISORY BOARD 10 – noon Wednesday, September 7th, 2022 MEETING LOCATION – IN PERSON AT SENIOR CENTER I. Call Meeting to order: Susan (10 am) a. Roll Call (absent: Possibly Ruth) b. Guests II. Introductions and Welcome III. Public Invited to be Heard (3 minutes per person) If needed. IV. Minutes of the August 2022 meeting V. Old Business a. New interview process for board applicants in Fall 2022: Review interview questions (Art and Julie interviewing; Brandy/new manager can join in non-voting role) b. Position update (Brandy) c. Open House survey: Potential questions (David) d. Age Well Conversation follow-up (half the board attended) e. Get Acquainted roster for call-backs (Brandy – none for August) f. Senior Center name change research project update (Brandy) g. Follow-up from City Clerk: i. New board member applications will close around October 14. ii. Board members are limited to two three-year terms; if they have served those, they must be off the board for at least one year before they can apply for another term(s). If the member has been an alternate member, the term does not count as a full term, and they are eligible for two full terms if appointed to be a regular member. h. Other VI. New Business a. Discussion with the TV Production Club re: documentary on Senior Services/Senior Center (Carrie) b. Discuss possible invitations: i. Would board like to invite Mayor Peck to attend a meeting? ii. Invite the new traffic engineer to hear concerns about traffic and safety? c. Applications open Sept 6 for new board applicants. Shall we all send out the link to those we’d like to solicit to apply? d. Other VII. Regular Business a. Supervisor’s Report b. City Council Liaison Report c. Other VIII.
