Call to Order Commission President Kent Landrum called the January 7, 2026 Civil Service Commission meeting to order at 4:33 pm. 2. Roll Call Kent Landrum and Ed dos Remedios were in attendance at the January 7, 2026 Civil Service Commission Meeting. Myrle Carner was absent from the meeting. New Business 4.A Election of Commission Chair Position and Commission Vice Chair Position - Presenter Connor  Motion to approve Commissioner Landrum as Civil Service Commission Chair and Commissioner Carner as Civil Service Vice Commission Chair. Motion Passed: 2-0 Voting For: Ed dos Remedios, Kent Landrum Voting Against: None 4.B Confirmation of the December 16, 2025 Entry Police Eligibility List - Presenter Connor Moved by Ed dos Remedios; seconded by Kent Landrum to Approve Confirmation of the December 16, 2025, Entry Police Eligibility List. Comments for the Good of the Order – The Police Department hired a lateral custody officer and an entry police officer who are starting on January 12, 2026. HR Sr Analyst Connor will send the Commissioners congratulations letters for them to sign. 8. Adjournment Chairman Landrum adjourned the meeting at 4:41 pm.
