Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 5:05 p.m. Councilmember Goettl led the Pledge of Allegiance. 2. Roll Call Vice Mayor Liermann was present telephonically. Present, 6 - Mayor Smith, Vice Mayor Liermann, Councilmember Goettl, Councilmember Knorr, Councilmember Marsh, and Councilmember Wade Absent, 1 - Councilmember Manfredi 3. Agenda Items 3.1 CON 24-27 The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and take action to approve the Purchase and Sale Agreement with Redevco Solutions, LLC, related to the sale of approximately 116.06 acres of the real property in Maricopa, Pinal County, Arizona, Assessor Parcel No. 51049002B, for $11,943,792.60 and authorizing the City Manager to execute any future amendments to extend the Closing as he deems necessary and any closing documents related thereto. Discussion and Action. There were no questions or comments on this item. A motion was made by Councilmember Wade, seconded by Councilmember Knorr, that this Contract be Approved. The motion carried by a unanimous vote. 3.2 CON 24-28 The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and take action to ratify the Purchase and Sale Agreement and Escrow Instructions with James A. Smith and Diana D. Smith, as Co-Trustees of The JD Smith Living Trust dated June 5, 2013, and Matthew B. Smith and Elena N. Smith, as Co-Trustees of The Matthew and Elena Smith Family Trust dated July 12, 2012, related to the sale of approximately 193.9 acres of real property generally located at the northwest corner of W. Steen Road and N. White and Parker Road, Maricopa, Pinal County, Arizona, Assessors Parcel No. 510-49-003A and a portion of 510-49-003C for $$16,948,000.00 and authorizing the City Manager to execute any future amendments to extend the Closing as he deems necessary and any closing documents related thereto. Discussion and Action. City of Maricopa Page 1 City Council Special Meeting Meeting Minutes - Final November 4, 2024 Karen Nally, with the Law Office of Karen E Nally PLLC, spoke in representation of her clients, Matt and Elena Smith on the ratification of Agenda Item 3.2, CON 24-28 and Agenda Item 3.3, RES 24-41. She noted Mr. Smith's presence and stated her clients were whole heartedly in favor of the transaction and urged the council to approve it. A motion was made by Councilmember Goettl, seconded by Councilmember Marsh, that this Contract be Approved. The motion carried by a unanimous vote. 3.3 RES 24-41 Public Hearing. A Resolution of the Mayor and City Council of the City of Maricopa, Arizona, approving the sale of approximately 193.9 acres of real property currently in escrow to be purchased by the city, assessor parcel number 510-49-003a and a portion of 510-49-003c, generally located at the Northwest corner of W. Steen Road and N. White and Parker Road, Maricopa, Pinal County, Arizona. Discussion and Action. Councilmember Goettl acknowledged the impact the Smith Family has had in the community and expressed his gratitude. The public hearing was opened at 5:09 p.m. There were no additional comments. The public hearing closed at 5:09 p.m. A motion was made by Councilmember Marsh, seconded by Councilmember Wade, that this Resolution be Approved. The motion carried by a unanimous vote. 4. Executive Session There was no executive session. 5.
