CITY OF MONROE HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION MINUTES DATE: WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 14, 2026 TIME: 1:00 PM PLACE: COUNCIL CHAMBERS - 1110 18TH AVENUE A. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL The Historic Preservation meeting was called to order on Wednesday, January 12, 2026, at 1:00 PM. Present at roll call were Jeff Maliszewski, Donna Bahler, Lynne Kleven, Jordan Norby, and Mary Soddy. Absent was Aaron Holverson and Tom Mitchell. B. CORRECTION OF MINUTES - NOVEMBER 12, 2025 The November 12, 2025, minutes were accepted as presented. C. BUSINESS: OPEN 1. Discussion and Possible Recommendation to Common Council Approval to Implement the City of Monroe Historic Downtown Facade Grant Program Funded through TID 7 Increment Administrator Rindy provided an overview of the Façade Grant Program using TID 7 funds for the historic downtown area. She presented the draft agreement, contract, application, and program flyer, and highlighted the application process. Applications will be collected and reviewed by Main Street Monroe and approved by the Historic Preservation Commission. Motion by Jeff Maliszewski, seconded by Donna Bahler, to approve the facade grant program and to recommend it to the Common Council. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote. D. BUSINESS BY MEMBERS E. ADJOURNMENT Motion by Lynne Kleven and seconded by Donna Bahler to adjourn at 1:20 PM. Motion carried by unanimous voice vote.
