CITY OF MONROE PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE MINUTES DATE: MONDAY, JANUARY 26, 2026 TIME: 4:45 PM PLACE: COUNCIL CHAMBERS - 1110 18TH AVENUE A. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL The meeting was called to order on Monday, January 26, 2026, at 4:45 PM. Present in person were Corinne Wartenweiler, Lynne Kleven, Matt Sheaffer, and Craig Franke. B. CORRECTION OF MINUTES - DECEMBER 1, 2025 The December 1, 2025, minutes were accepted as presented. C. BUSINESS PRESENTED BY POLICE DEPARTMENT 1. Approval and Recommendation of Special Event Permit: Holly's Heart & Sole Family Fun Run There was discussion regarding the map and which route corresponded to each color. The committee requested clarification prior to the Council meeting. A motion was made by Kleven, seconded by Franke, to approve and recommend to Common Council . The motion passed 4-0, by the following vote: AYES:Lynne Kleven, Corinne Wartenweiler, Matt Sheaffer, Craig Franke NOES:None ABSENT:None ABSTAINED: None D. BUSINESS BY MEMBERS E. ADJOURNMENT  A motion was made by Kleven, seconded by Wartenweiler, to adjourn at 4:50 PM.
