CITY OF MONROE PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE MINUTES DATE: MONDAY, MARCH 9, 2026 TIME: 4:45 PM PLACE: COUNCIL CHAMBERS - 1110 18TH AVENUE A. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL The meeting was called to order on Monday, March 9, 2026, at 4:45 PM. Present in person were Corinne Wartenweiler, Lynne Kleven, Craig Franke, and Matt Sheaffer. B. CORRECTION OF MINUTES - FEBRAURY 23, 2026 The February 23, 2026, minutes were accepted as presented. C. BUSINESS PRESENTED BY FIRE / EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT 1. Fire Department Annual Report Chief Rufer gave the department's annual report. Committee was given the opportunity to ask questions. D. BUSINESS PRESENTED BY POLICE DEPARTMENT 1. Police Department Annual Report Chief Kelley gave the department's annual report. Committee was given the opportunity to ask questions. E. BUSINESS BY MEMBERS F. ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Kleven, seconded by Franke, to adjourn at 6:05 PM. The  motion passed 4-0, by the following vote: AYES: Corinne Wartenweiler, Lynne Kleven, Craig Franke, Matt Sheaffer NOES: None ABSENT: None ABSTAINED: None This Committee may take any action it considers appropriate related to any item on this agenda.
