CITY OF MONROE PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE MINUTES DATE: MONDAY, MARCH 23, 2026 TIME: 4:55 PM PLACE: COUNCIL CHAMBERS - 1110 18TH AVENUE A. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL The Public Safety Committee meeting was called to order on Monday, March 23, 2026, at 4:55 PM. Present in person were Lynne Kleven, Craig Franke, and Matt Sheaffer. Absent was Corinne Wartenweiler. B. CORRECTION OF MINUTES - MARCH 9, 2026 The March 9, 2026, minutes were accepted as presented. C. BUSINESS PRESENTED BY POLICE DEPARTMENT 1. Approval and Recommendation of Special Event Permit: Main Street Monroe's April Wine Walk A motion was made by Kleven, seconded by Franke, to approve and recommend to Common Council. The motion passed 3-0, by the following vote: AYES:Lynne Kleven, Matt Sheaffer, Craig Franke NOES:None ABSENT: Corinne Wartenweiler ABSTAINED: None 2. Approval and Recommendation of Special Event Permit: ARC - Green County's Monroe Balloons and Music Festival A motion was made by Franke, seconded by Kleven, to approve and recommend to Common Council . The motion passed 3-0, by the following vote:  AYES: Lynne Kleven, Matt Sheaffer, Craig Franke NOES: None ABSENT: Corinne Wartenweiler ABSTAINED: None D. BUSINESS BY MEMBERS E. ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Kleven, seconded by Franke, to adjourn at 4:58 PM.
