This item is the formal action to accept the funds, allocate the funds to the previously selected subrecipients, and approve the associated budget amendment. This project seeks funding for activity hours for two new officers to conduct high-visibility traffic safety enforcement and related vehicle, equipment, and training costs. This Grant will provide 85% reimbursement for two new Traffic Enforcement Officers allowable salaries, benefits, vehicles, equipment, supplies, and training for the first Year 1 of the 5-Year Grant. Reimbursement percentages decrease for Years 2 through 5, and Town match percentages increase for Years 2 through 5. Mandatory 12-month retention of both positions is required at 100% after 4-Years of grant funding.
