Minutes Town of Mooresville Historic Preservation Commission January 8, 2026 6:00 PM - Mooresville Town Hall Present: David Cole, Patty Cotter, Susan Autry, Meghan Black, Henry Seyller, Larry Schaeffer, Bill Goodnow, Commissioner Will Aven Also Present: Planning Director James Coley, Planner II Ashley Lattin, Planner I Patrick Werner, Administrative Assistant Lisa Smith, Assistant Town Attorney Carey Austin Absent: Ben Kennedy 1. Call to Order Chair David Cole called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. 2. Approval of Agenda ACTION: A motion was made by Patty Cotter, seconded by Bill Goodnow, to approve the agenda as presented. Motion carried unanimously. 3. Approval of Minutes 3.a Consider minutes from the December 4, 2025, HPC Meeting. ACTION: A motion was made by Larry Schaeffer, seconded by Henry Seyller, to approve the minutes from December 4, 2025, as presented. Motion carried unanimously. 4. Presentations 5. New Business 5.a Consider amendments to the Mooresville Historic Preservation Commission Design Standards as presented by Carolyn Gimbal of JMT. Amendments to the Historic Preservation Commission Design Standards will be presented by Carolyn Gimbal of JMT. Please reference the attached documents. This is the final draft. An action will be required to make a recommendation to the Town Board to adopt the final version of the Design Standards. Chair David Cole opened Public Hearing for discussion on final draft of Historic Preservation Standards. ACTION: A motion was made by Patty Cotter, seconded by Susan Autry to adopt HPC Design Standards as presented. Motion carried unanimously. 6. Adjournment ACTION: A motion was made by Patty Cotter, seconded by Susan Autry to adjourn the meeting at 6:29 p.m. Motion carried unanimously.
