The Mooresville Travel and Tourism Authority also known as the Mooresville
Convention & Visitor's Bureau to adopt a Resolution approving a Temporary Road
Closure for the 2026 Race City Open Skateboarding Competition to be held on April 17,
2026. The temporary road closure will be between 4 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. and includes

7.b Consider a request from the Finance Department to adopt two resolutions appointing
Sandra Buck as Deputy Finance Officer for the Town of Mooresville and authorizing her to
execute documents necessary for financial transactions. (pp 15-16)
Sandra was promoted to Deputy Finance Officer. Per N.C.G.S. 159-24, the finance officer
must be appointed by the local government, and as Deputy, may need to step into the
CFO role as needed when the CFO is unavailable, including executing documents.

approve amendments to the Mooresville Historic Preservation Commission Design
Standards as presented. (pp 77-96)
The Historic Preservation Commission Design Standards have been updated to improve
clarity and usability for the community. The revised document incorporates additional
examples, including illustrations and photographs, to better demonstrate specific
requirements. Attached is a summary of all revisions made between the second draft and
the final draft, along with the completed final document recommended for adoption by
the Historic Preservation Commission.
