Old # 1 Fire Truck Preservation Committee April 20, 2026 Meeting Minutes CALL TO ORDER MINUTES APPROVAL Approval of the February 16, 2026 Minutes OLD BUSINESS Treasurer's Report We have $2,000.00 in our Scholarship Fund and $19,876.72 in our regular account. Jerry was nominated as the new treasurer. Facebook Report Bob continues to add photos and comments. NEW BUSINESS 2026 Planning Scholarship Program for 2026. New contact — Andrea Rusk/Heather Demuth. Purchases: ▪ Dalmatian Key Chains. ▪ Firefighter Hats. ▪ Tire Cover for trailer tires. Spare Tire Cover ▪ Sign for front of the awning — or new awning — Dick ▪ Need a Display for Challenge Coins. — Bob ▪ Re-do a few boards for our street signs. — Bob ▪ Start using the older “I rang the bell stickers” for 2026. Event planning for 2026; May/June Events:  o Park on Park May 13th — Gary o Gurnee First Responders Expo May 16th – Tim o Seminary Event – Dick o Memorial Day Parade May 25th – Bob o Spring Into Summer Event May 30th — Bob o Drive the Village for June — Eli/Darrell o Library Event – June — Dick o Farmers Market – June - Tim o Libertyville Parade – June — Jerry Letters went out to all applicants. Purchases: • Dalmatian keychains — 450 received and stickers applied. • Firefighter Hats for $1.10 each qty. Not ordered yet. • Tire covers for the trailer have arrived. Spare tire cover ordered. • Sign for the tent was discussed; Dick and Bob will investigate. • New sign board for the Challenge Coins will be ordered. • We will use up the new “100th I rang the bell stickers” and go back to the original design. • New batteries for ONO will be ordered. 2026 Event schedule was discussed. • A golf outing was approved for Steeple Chase for August 4th. Costs have been discussed, and the overall cost will be looked at. • Park on Park May 13th – Gary, meet at the station at 4:00 PM • Gurnee 1st Responders Expo May 16th – Tim, meet at the station at 8:00 AM • Seminary Event – Dick will investigate • Memorial Day Parade, May 25th — Bob. Veteran rider to be determined. • Spring into Spring Event May 30th – Bob • Drive the Village Program – canceled. • Library Event – Dick will investigate. • Farmers Market – June – Tim • Libertyville Parade — June 20 – Jerry. Maintenance  Maintenance: Date – Wash & Wax April 25 at 10:00 AM Carb adjustment? Rebuild? Oil & Filter changed Check timing and dwell (may need points). Check out a possible cooling hose leak — fixed. Check brake adjustments. Check clutch pedal adjustments. Look over oil leaks and fix if possible. Heat shrink tubing will be purchased for battery cable. Heavy oil will be purchased for the transfer case. • Work date – April 18th 10:00am • Wash N Wax Date April 25th 10:00am • Oil & Filter • Carb adjustment? • Check timing and dwell (may need points). • Check out a possible cooling hose leak. • Check the level of water in the batteries. • Check brake adjustments. • Check clutch pedal adjustments. • Look over oil leaks and fix if possible.
