Old # 1 Fire Truck Preservation Committee May 18, 2026 Meeting Minutes CALL TO ORDER MINUTES APPROVAL Approval of the April 20, 2026 Minutes April meeting minutes approved OLD BUSINESS Treasurer: There is $19,876.72 in our regular account. Facebook Report: Bob continues to add photos and comments. Maintenance: • Carb adjustment? Rebuild? • Check timing and dwell (may need points). • Check brake adjustments. • Check clutch pedal adjustments. • Heat shrink tubing was purchased and installed for battery cable. • Heavy oil was purchased for the transfer case. The transfer case is now leaking. Introductions of Scholarship Winner: Gary/Jerry. Addison Hagel and family. Tour of ONO and check presentation. Pictures. Treasurer’s Report: Jerry Facebook Report: Pictures are being posted. Send any to Bob Maintenance: • Replace Batteries. • Check brake adjustments. • Check clutch pedal adjustments. Scholarship: Addison and family were escorted to the bay; the check was presented, and photos taken. NEW BUSINESS 2026 Planning: • Sign for the tent was discussed; Dick and Bob will investigate. • Tire covers will be ordered. • Spare tire cover was installed. • A new signboard for the “Challenge Coins” was being ordered. • New foam boards for sandwich boards were ordered • New batteries for ONO were installed. • Flyers for the golf outing were distributed. 2026 Events: • Seminary Event – Dick will investigate. • Memorial Day Parade May 25th — Bob, Veteran rider to be determined. • Spring into Spring Event May 30th – Bob, Eli, Jerry, Ray, Gary • Farmers Market – 7/11, 8/22, 9/19 • Library Event – Dick will investigate. • Libertyville Parade — June 20 – Jerry, Bob, Eli, Gary • ONO Golf Outing – Aug 4 – All hands Event Reviews: • Park on Park – cold weather, 50 cars • Gurnee Fire Expo – good show, lots of people Inventory: Eli did an inventory of the ONO articles and presented it to the committee members. 2026 Planning: Purchases: • Tire Cover for trailer tires. • Spare Tire Cover • Sign for front of the awning or new awning — Dick • Need a Display for Challenge Coins — Ordered. • Re-do a few boards for our street signs - Ordered. • Start using the older “I rang the bell stickers” for 2026.
