CITY OF NAMPA City Council Special Meeting (Workshop) January 16, 2025 City Hall – 411 Third Street South Livestreaming at http://www.youtube.com/@cityofnampapublicmeetings 7:00 AM Call to Order Invocation Pledge of Allegiance Roll Call (1) New Business 1-1. Action Item: Authorize Mayor to sign FY25 Idaho State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) Certified Local Government (CLG) grant for the purpose of creating or updating design guidelines in targeted areas such as the Old Nampa Historic District or the Downtown Historic District (CLG Grant Request $15,000; $10,000 City Cash Match approved in FY25 Historic Preservation Budget; $5,000 Match from Economic Development and Planning & Zoning Hours) – Catherine Keys, Economic Development and Breanna Son, Planning & Zoning 1-2. Discussion Item: AI Security with CIO – Butch Schierman, Information Technology 1-3. Action Item: City of Nampa and Nampa Fire Protection District (NFPD) Collaborative Workshop: 1. Impact fee update for NFPD for both City and County. o Go over next steps and needed items 2. Station 5 land lease with Nampa Airport 3. Station 2 and Skyview Park Record of Survey / Deeds 4. No member of the community is required to attend or participate in the invocation and such decision will have no impact on their right to participate actively in the business of the Council. Copies of the policy governing invocations and setting forth the procedure to have a volunteer deliver an invocation are available upon written request submitted to the City Clerk.
