CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 4:00 p.m. by Chairman David Blaydes and attendance taken by Julie Mendoza-Morris: B. PUBLIC FORUM: D. OLD BUSINESS: Review and Approve open session minutes from February 26, 2019 A motion was made by Commissioner Ron Davidson to accept the minutes of the February 26, 2019 meeting, seconded by Commissioner Kim Widup. The motion carried with a unanimous voice vote. E. REPORTS: 1. Police Department Report NPD assisted in serving a search warrant to a woman, who was using her status as CNA for identity theft Recruits are doing well, one was injured but is able to continue at the Academy BOFP will be adding a field trainer to Oral Interview process Dealership thefts continue 2. Fire Department Report Deputy Chief Dina retiring April 12 March 23 - St Baldrick’s Fundraiser at Marriott April 22 Academy - recruiting for 5 positions currently NFD ranks above the nation in cardiac arrests - and successful resuscitations/survival rates Halogen lamp garage fire, lamp melted a rubber mallet, mallet dripped into an accelerant - homeowner was told by dispatch to keep door to home closed and garage door shut - fire was put out and home was habitable. G. CLOSED SESSION: H. ACTION ITEMS: This was approved. Review FF/PM results A motion was made by Commissioner Kim Widup to continue in the process (medical) Fire candidates #10, #12, seconded by Commissioner Ron Davidson. The motion carried with a unanimous voice vote. Review Police Officer Results A motion was made by Commissioner Ron Davidson to continue in the process police officer candidates #9 and #13 and #15 seconded by Commissioner Kim Widup. The motion carried with a unanimous voice vote. The motion carried with a unanimous voice vote. Review and Approve closed session minutes from 2-26-19 A motion was made by Commissioner Kim Widup to accept the closed session minutes of February 26, 2019 and retain restriction, seconded by Commissioner Ron Davidson. The motion carried with a unanimous voice vote I. ADJOURNMENT: A motion was made by Commissioner Ron Davidson to adjourn the meeting at 5:33 p.m., seconded by Commissioner Kim Widup.
